As part of International Children’s Day, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Tatevik Stepanyan participated in the “School Council” session held at Yerevan Municipality.

The event brought together 64 ninth-grade students who, for one day, assumed the role of members of the Yerevan City Council and presented reports on the prevention of drug use and distribution, ensuring that children’s voices are heard, waste management, stray dogs, and issues related to building pollution.

Tatevik Stepanyan congratulated the participants on International Children’s Day and emphasized the importance of children’s fundamental rights to development, education, protection, and being loved.

During the question-and-answer session, the Deputy Minister responded to issues of concern to the children and discussed their views on existing challenges in Yerevan and possible solutions.
